Graham Peterson
Graham Peterson is a multimedia artist with a focus on audio visual work, including photography / videography, projection, modular synthesis of sound and visual, and animation in various techniques. His work explores the relationship between mindfulness of being and our outward social surroundings through experiential pieces utilizing looping and droning projection and ambient soundscapes.
Professionally he works in the animation industry as a creator, director, and executive producer.
Here you will find Graham’s photography work shot mostly on film. With a desire to focus on analog mediums, he has explored geometric minimalism, street photography, abstract, experimental, and portrait work.
While the majority of the work is captured on 35mm and 120 film, there is also visual experimental work captured through lensing which becomes interpreted into video signals where clips and stills can be taken.
These works represent a combination of lighting and texture from various tangible traditional materials, that are then integrated and changed with analog synthesis. This combination questions our understanding around how we perceive physical tangibility versus what is seen on screen with an analog process that could be argued is tangible in of itself.
